Loan Disbursement Programme under Project Swabalamban was held at Chamuapara near Mangaldai on 21st October,2019. 280 beneficiaries got the SBI loan SANCTION LETTERS from Honourable Chief Minister of Assam for starting their new business ventures. More than 1100 loans are sanctioned so far out of total 1800 applications. Around  60 percent loans are sanctioned under the project . Honourable Agriculture Minister Sri Atul Bora,  Honourable Member of Parliament, Mangaldoi,Sri Dilip Saikia and Honourable MLA, Mangaldoi,Sri Gurujyoti Das and senior Assam Police officials  present in the meeting.

        It may be mentioned that the Swabalamban scheme is one of the major schemes launched by the present Assam Government for Self Employment of the Surrendered Militants of the State. The scheme is to be implemented by the Home Department in association with State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam. State Bank of India has agreed to offer the subsidized loan to the beneficiaries to start their self employment avenue. The assisted beneficiaries can take up different activities in primary, secondary and tertiary sectors according to their own choice.
