A two days training on skill development of youths for sustainable self employment in BTR and other parts of Assam is organised by SIPRD,Assam in association with the Home Department,Govt.of Assam at Udalguri College Auditorium in Udalguri from 2nd to 3rd July,2021. The programme was inaugurated by Sri Govinda Basumatary,Hon'ble Dy.CEM BTC in presence of other dignitaries. The workshop is basically an orientation programme for ex militants who have joined the mainstream and interested to take up a meaningful livelihood of their choice for self employment. The have been given various information on different sectors like fishery, Dairy, piggery, farm mechanization etc by resource persons from KVK and SIPRD,Assam. On 3rd July, Smt. Juri Doley,Director,SIPRD delivered her welcome speech and Sri Pabitra Kalita,Jt.Director,SIPRD, interacted with the participants. Senior core faculties from SIPRD Sri Anupam Dutta, Dr.Bipul Deka, Sri Ramen Baruah,Principal,ETC Saraighat and Sri Jayanta Saharia,ARO,SIPRD also delivered their valuable speech in the workshop. In both the days, the programme was attended by 247 youths .
