SIPRD,Assam has been entrusted by the home department,Government of Assam to organize training programme for surrendered Bodo militants after the signing of Bodo peace accord. The institute had already started a series of sensitization programme for rehabilitation of Bodo militants since June this year and such programmes had already conducted in Kokrajhar, Chirang,Baksa and Udalguri. On 9th and 10th of October, sensitization programmes were held in Sonitpur and Biswanath Chariali respectively for rehabilitation of surrendered youths. ADGP,SB,Sri Hiren Nath was attended the programme along with Joint Director, Sri Surajit Borgohain ,Sri Anupam Dutta, Deputy Director,SIPRD and other officials of Assam Police and SIPRD,Assam. The Principal of ETC,Biswanath, Mrs. R.Buragohain coordinated the whole programme successfully.
