Initiative for PMAYG Beneficiary

A MISSION MODE INITIATIVE FOR PMAY-G BENEFICIARIES

PRIME MINISTER’S AWAS YOJANA-GRAMIN is a flagship programme by Govt.of India under which Government has decided to provide a house to poor people within 2022 . In Assam also, a deadline is set to provide 2,59,114 houses to homeless people before January, 2019. To achieve this target, a ToT programme is being taken up by SIPRD, Assam to create village level facilitators which will help the PMAY-G beneficiaries in all over Assam. For this ToT, one VLF is selected from one Ward and the total no of VLFs are 26810. To train up these VLFs a group of 160 resource persons are selected and the ToT programmes are already started from 2 nd August to 10 th August. By a special drive, 2,59,114 PMAY-G beneficiaries will be covered for Awareness and Survey from 11th August to 13th August,2018. This training programmes for Village Level Facilitators (VLF) will be held in all over Assam through the Extension Training Centres of SIPRD, Assam. After the training the VLFs will make aware the PMAY-G beneficiaries and also know their various problems during the construction of the house.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE MISSION MODE :

  • Village Level Facilitators (VLF) will directly meet the beneficiaries and make them aware about the PMAY-G scheme.
  • To complete the construction of 2,59,114 houses before January,2019.
  • To identify the various problems faced by the beneficiaries during the construction of the house.
  • To accelerate the construction of houses under PMAY-G after solving the identified problems.
